Docker Deployment Guide

This guide explains how to deploy Tadreeb LMS using the official Docker image published on Docker Hub.


Step 1: Install Docker

curl -fsSL https://get.docker.com | sh

sudo systemctl enable docker
sudo systemctl start docker

docker --version

Step 2: Pull the Docker Image

docker pull beyondtechitsolutions/tadreeblms:latest

You can verify the image using:

docker images

Step 3: Create docker-compose.yml

nano docker-compose.yml

Paste the following:

container_name: tadreeblms_app
restart: unless-stopped

ports:
- "8000:80"

volumes:
- laravel_storage:/var/www/html/storage
- laravel_cache:/var/www/html/bootstrap/cache

depends_on:
- db

networks:
- appnet

db:
image: mysql:8.0
container_name: tadreeblms_db
restart: unless-stopped

environment:
MYSQL_ROOT_PASSWORD: rootpassword
MYSQL_DATABASE: tadreeblms
MYSQL_USER: tadreeb
MYSQL_PASSWORD: secret

volumes:
- mysql_data:/var/lib/mysql

networks:
- appnet

networks:
appnet:

volumes:
mysql_data:
laravel_storage:
laravel_cache:

Save the file.

  • Press CTRL + O
  • Press Enter
  • Press CTRL + X

Step 4: Start the Containers

docker compose up -d

Verify:

docker ps

Step 5: Configure AWS Security Group

Allow inbound traffic.

Step 6: Access Tadreeb LMS

Open your browser:

http://<SERVER-IP>:8000

Step 7: Complete the Installer

Use the following database details.

Useful Commands

View running containers:

docker ps

View all containers:

docker ps -a

Application logs:

docker compose logs -f app

Database logs:

docker compose logs -f db

Stop containers:

docker compose down

Restart containers:

docker compose restart

Pull the latest image:

docker pull beyondtechitsolutions/tadreeblms:latest

Update to the latest version:

docker compose pull
docker compose up -d

Deployment Flow

Install Docker


Pull Tadreeb LMS Image


Create docker-compose.yml


docker compose up -d


Open Port 8000


Open Browser
